Nancy Valentine, Ph.D. RN- former VP Nursing McLean Hospital, National Chief Nursing Officer Department of Veterans Affairs, National Nursing Executive CIGNA Healthcare. Nancy’s passion for patient advocacy stems from her 30+ distinguished years in nursing practice and healthcare leadership, where she saw major gaps in making the “engaged patient” a reality and came away with a strong feeling that everyone should have the right to transparent information and the ability to choose based on informed knowledge.  Bio

Hal Richman, Ph.D., CMC - has worked with organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme, RTI International, the Center for Creative Leadership and Citigroup in the development of learning and leadership programs around the globe. He is a wizard with the knack and track record for putting together innovative businesses and programs in areas of learning and performance with organizations in the intergovernmental, non-profit and private sectors. Hal’s passion stems from his own healthcare journey that led him to explore how we can make informed, powerful and authentic decisions when faced with significant healthcare challenges. Bio

Bill Crandell is a Certified Management Consultant, entrepreneur, financial analyst. In the past few years, he has led one of his companies to a listing on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX(V)-INR).  He is a financial analyst and corporate strategist.  In addition to other directorships, Bill is currently a director and shareholder in PraxES Emergency Specialists Inc. (http://praxes.ca), a company that provides access to emergency medical specialist physicians for corporations who have employees working in remote locations, possibly hundreds or thousands of miles away.

Dan Montgomery has worked at the interface of personal, organizational and technological issues for most of his 25 year career. Originally trained as a counselor and psychotherapist, Dan transitioned into human resources, and began building and implementing competency-based HR systems in the early 1980's. After serving as an internal process improvement and systems consultant in two large health care organizations in the US, Dan was made responsible for end user computing and branch technology in a banking data centre and made a move to Canada. Since then, he has been vice-president of a geographic information systems (GIS) company, and has worked in senior consulting roles for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and Ernst & Young prior to becoming an independent consultant. Dan currently operates out of both Boulder, CO in the USA as Blue Opal Strategies LLC. His focus in PDI is in the areas of strategy, performance management, coaching, culture change and organizational development.
